Actress Michelle Wai shared photos on Instagram showcasing the betrothal gold gifts presented by her fiancé Kenley Chau.

According to The Staras Wai and Chau prepare for their wedding on Feb. 16, the couple is completing traditional pre-wedding rituals. A grand betrothal ceremony was held on Jan. 9, during which Wai’s family received an array of gifts from Chau and his family.
The offerings included designed gold jewelry—bracelets, necklaces, and earrings—symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. Among photos Wai posted was one image featuring her wearing a necklace adorned with gold pig pendants, a traditional emblem signifying wishes for many descendants.
The gifts also included other customary items such as dried seafood, fruits, and cakes.
“So this is what a betrothal ceremony feels like!” Wai captioned her post.
The post drew an outpouring of congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities. Wai’s manager commented: “Another daughter of Emperor Entertainment is getting married – such joyful news!”
Emperor Entertainment, one of Hong Kong’s leading entertainment groups, is renowned for lavishly celebrating their artistes’ milestones.
Netizens also joined the excitement with playful comments.
“Those gold bangles are almost as big as your face!” one Instagram user joked.

Wai, 41, began her career as a part-time model before entering the entertainment industry, making her screen debut in 2009. Her fiancé Chau is the founder of a medical aesthetics company.
