Bayer Foundation announces nearly $26,000 prize opportunity for female entrepreneurs in health and food security
Female entrepreneurs in the fields of health and food security have the chance to receive significant support through the Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs Award (WEA) 2025, including a cash prize of €25,000 (US$25,740) and additional benefits.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Truong Thi Nam Thang, Chief Researcher, Institute for Innovation and Development (IID), Kick-off 2025 is an event where IID shares with businesses, support organizations, and ecosystems the opportunities and support programs that IID will implement in 2025 to promote social impact business activities in Vietnam. The Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs Award 2025 was launched with the mission of building an ecosystem for impact business in Vietnam.

The WEA 2025 is open to female entrepreneurs with innovative solutions in health and food security that demonstrate clear social impact. Projects addressing climate change will receive additional consideration. Eligibility criteria require that the nominated business has an annual revenue not exceeding $500,000. Female entrepreneurs must also be business owners, co-founders, or members of the board of directors of the nominated business or organization.
Recipients of the WEA 2025 award will receive a cash prize of €25,000. They will also benefit from a fully-sponsored trip to attend the award ceremony in June 2025 in Europe. The award includes a six-month acceleration program, opportunities for global media exposure, and membership in the Impact Hub network, which connects more than 320,000 members globally.
Applications are open from January 2025 to Feb. 18, 2025. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Europe in early June 2025. See further details about the award and application process are available online here.
