Messi Arrival Made Mbappe Jealous: Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr recalled the turbulence in the Paris Saint Germain dressing room after Lionel Messi arrived at the club. Neymar said that Mbappe became jealous (jokingly) after the Argentine maestro’s arrival.
What Happened?
Neymar always had a love-hate relationship with Mbappe, from both fighting on the pitch to hanging out for dinner. The Brazilian joined PSG in 2017 from Barcelona despite having an incredible run with Lionel Messi and Co.

So when Lionel Messi arrived at PSG in 2021, Neymar naturally would hang out with his old friend, which made the young Kylian Mbappe jealous. According to Neymar, Mbappe ‘didn’t want to share me (him) with anyone.’ He was talking on a podcast of former Selecao forward Romario.
“I had my things with him, we had a little fight. He was a boy that in the beginning was key, I used to call him ‘Golden Boy’, I was spoke to him, played around with him, told him he’d be one of the best, I always help, always had conversations with him”.
“He came to my house, we went out to dinner together.”
“When Leo arrived, he became a little jealous. He didn’t want to share me with anyone! (laughs) That’s how the fights started, the change in behaviour”.
The trio is not playing for PSG anymore. After his stint at Paris, Neymar joined the Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal. Messi, on the other hand, went to MLS to join Inter Miami. Mbappé signed with his dream club, Real Madrid.
