IPTA's National Drama Festival will start from today, Asmanjas Babu's autobiography will be staged on the first day.

Raigarh, 17 January (HS). The Raigarh unit of Bharatiya Jana Natya Sangh IPTA has been organizing the National Drama Festival continuously for the last 30 years. This year this event is being organized from January 17 to January 19. A total of four plays will be staged over three days in the 30th National Drama Festival of IPTA Raigarh. All preparations for the ceremony have been completed.

The inaugural session will start today at 6:58 pm in the local Polytechnic Auditorium, then on the first day the solo play “Asamanjas Babu Ki Autobiography” written by Akhtar Ali will be staged. This play was directed by Ajay Athale in 2002 and actor Yuvraj Singh has been doing “Azaad” on stage. This time “Asamanjas Babu Ki Atmkatha” has been redesigned by actor Yuvraj Singh “Azad” with the addition of the chorus. Light and sound is by Shyam Devkar. Apart from Asmanjas Babu, all the other small but important characters in this play are being made to act through the chorus.

On the second day of the three-day theater festival, the play “Chhota Munh Badi Baat” directed by Krishna Kumar Sao will be staged by the children, while on the same day, the second play “Aadhi Raat Ke Baad” has been directed by Ravindra Chaubey. This play is basically an interesting story of a judge and a thief, Akhilesh Jain and Tapas Rai will be seen acting in the play. On the last third day of the drama festival, “Sheetal Paati” directed by Sanjita will be staged by Kolkata's theater troupe Sobar Path Production and after this staging, the National Drama Festival of IPTA Raigarh will conclude. IPTA's National Drama Festival is being organized with public support, entry is free. The theater loving public is cordially invited to this event.
