Bank of Baroda mistakenly transferred lakhs of rupees to a farmer's account, now refuses to return it

A unique case has come to light in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, in which Rs 16 lakh has been transferred to the account of a Kanaram Jat farmer. A migrant living in Chhota Lamba has received Rs 16 lakh in his Bank of Baroda account.

The farmer repaid the loan using the money

After this, the decision taken by the farmer is quite surprising because the farmer has used Rs 15 lakh out of it to repay the loan. The farmer had a loan of about Rs 15 lakh, to repay which he paid Rs 5 lakh in three transactions between January 2 and 4.

How did the money go into the farmer's account?

Actually, due to the mistake of the bank official, an amount worth lakhs went into the farmer's account. This amount was to be sent for crop insurance premium of New India Insurance Company. As soon as the bank came to know about this mistake, it immediately contacted the farmer but the farmer says that he has used this amount to repay the loan. Now he cannot pay the money. Now the bank is using legal methods to get its money back.
