Born and raised in India, Aashni Tulsian was 13 when she was first exposed to the world of textiles and fashion. Ten years later, after graduating from The New School, Aashni became the Production and Development Coordinator for Loeffler Randall—the New York-based, leading contemporary womenswear company.

For the 25-year-old graduate from one of the world’s best fashion colleges, New York symbolizes the embrace of individuality, breaking traditional boundaries, and celebrating bold, diverse self-expression on every street corner. Tulsian has had the opportunity to work with prominent fashion houses like Prabal Gurung and Bibhu Mohapatra.

Hailed as a keen fashion and sustainability enthusiast from the beginning of her career, Tulsian’s turning point came when she worked on her graduation project with WholeGarment Shima Seiki machines—a one-of-a-kind technology that revolutionizes knitwear production with seamless, high-precision capabilities, enabling intricate designs and sustainable manufacturing—at Arvind Fashion Limited in her hometown.

“Working and developing a collection with the cutting-edge Shima Seiki machine, I realized that producing a perfect garment from scratch gives me a sense of respect for the intersection of innovation and craftsmanship. I was inspired by the possibilities it opened up for sustainable, efficient, and creative fashion production,” said Tulsian.

This collection of fully fashioned indigo knits, developed during her tenure at Arvind Fashion Limited, allowed Aashni Tulsian to refine her niche and cultivate a professional approach toward design and garment production.

A quick succession of high-profile fashion projects for Bibhu Mohapatra, Prabal Gurung, and other large Indian companies showcased Tulsian’s work to the world, introducing a meticulous eye for detail and a flair for creativity. She consistently delivered innovative solutions that blended precision with her artistic vision.

This caught the attention of Loeffler Randall executives, who made Tulsian one of the company’s youngest creative team members. Traveling between India and the US, the talented Surat native seamlessly carries the rich craftsmanship and insights of her homeland, leaving an imprint wherever she goes.
