In the semi-final match against Maharashtra, Nair hammered 88 off just 44 balls, guiding Vidarbha to victory. Although he batted extremely well, Nair narrowly failed to complete his fifth successive List A century as, with only two overs left, he was on 51 when he stepped on the accelerator too hard, ending up running out of time.
