Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: New photo of suspect surfaces, attacker remains at large

New Delhi: With the investigation intensifying, officials are leaving no stone unturned to catch the individual who attacked Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan. Meanwhile, best wishes continue to pour in from all over for the speedy recovery of the 54-year-old hunk. Amidst all the buzz, a new photo of the suspect has now surfaced.

In the new image, the individual can be seen in a yellow-colored shirt. Also, the person appears to be carrying a backpack. Have a look:

However, the intruder who stabbed the renowned actor at his Mumbai home remains at large. It is to be noted that more than 30 police teams are currently searching for him. According to PTI, police officials have stated that the attacker does not appear to be linked with any criminal gang.

Carpenter released by police

For the unversed, police detained a carpenter in connection with the attack on Saif at his apartment in the early hours of Thursday (January 16, 2025) as he resembled the intruder. The carpenter was later released after questioning on Friday (January 17, 2025) at the Bandra police station.

No arrests have been made in the case so far. Authorities are still exploring all possible angles.

A senior official told the news agency that the attacker likely did not even realise whose house he had entered. The official added that it seemed like a stray incident.

When the CCTV footage of Saif’s building was examined, the attacker’s face was captured. The video showed the suspect wearing a red scarf and carrying a backpack. The clip revealed the accused was moving down the stairs from the sixth floor of the Satguru Sharan building, where Saif resides, at approximately 2:30 am.
