Champions Trophy: Team India announced today, Shami's return confirmed, what will be Yashasvi's entry, these 15 names can be in the Indian squad

Mumbai : After the defeat in the Australia tour, the Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025 is going to be announced today i.e. on Saturday. In this regard, Team India's Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Indian Cricket Team Captain Rohit Sharma will hold a press conference today at 12.30 pm, in which India's 15-member team will also be announced.

Please note that the Champions Trophy is to be organized from 19th February to 9th March in 4 major cities of Pakistan and UAE. These also include Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Dubai. However, all the matches of Team India will be played in Dubai.

This time Team India will be seen playing its first match against Bangladesh. This match will be played on 20th February at Dubai International Stadium. The team will face Pakistan in its second match on 23 February and will face New Zealand in the third match on 2 March.

This time India has been included in Group A along with Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The two semi-finals of the tournament are to be held on March 4 and 5. Whereas, the final will be played on 9th March.

Today, the selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar will meet here to select Team India for the Champions Trophy, in which they will have to take two difficult decisions – how to fit Yashasvi Jaiswal in the final 15 and the second on the fitness of main fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Have to think.

Rohit's presence before the press is a clear indication that he will remain the captain in ODIs as well, although after the disappointing tour of Australia, there is speculation about his future in Test cricket.

Senior fast bowler Mohammed Shami can be included in the team this time as he has played most of the domestic matches and has also been included in the Indian team for the five-match home T20 series against England. Another name that can be discussed is the in-form Karun Nair, who has so far scored 752 runs with five centuries in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. But it is difficult for him to make a place in the already strong middle order in which all-rounder Hardik Pandya will also be present this time.

India's probable squad for Champions Trophy will be like this:

Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj.
