Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: Accused intruders still on the run; investigation continues

Saif Ali Khan was severely injured when he tried to defend his family and an intruder stabbed him six times. However, the accused has been evasive since the incident, and even though police conducted a large manhunt on Friday, the “hardened criminal” has not been apprehended.

The Indian Express reported that the accused could have easily escaped the scene by changing his clothes after leaving the actor’s flat, according to the officials.

Given the seriousness of the situation, the Bandra police launched a manhunt to find the thief who tried to break into Saif Ali Khan’s home. Despite bringing in a “suspect” earlier Friday, the authorities were forced to release him after discovering no link between the man and the incident.

As the inquiry progresses, one of the police sources disclosed that the accused was caught on tape by another CCTV camera as he fled the crime site. He was dressed differently when he walked out of the building.

Furthermore, the police source stated in his remarks that the criminal’s decision to wear a mask and a cap in order to avoid detection made it challenging to apprehend him.

An officer said to the media portal, “The fact that the accused changed clothes indicates he could be a hardened criminal. The hunt has been intensified, and CCTVs from nearby railway stations are being checked.”
