Release of Dhanush's film Neek postponed till 21st February

Mumbai Mumbai :Fans who are eagerly waiting for actor Dhanush's directorial venture Neelavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (Neek) will now have to wait a little longer as the release date of the film has been postponed. Originally scheduled to release in theaters on February 7, the makers of the film announced on Friday that the new release date has now been set for February 21. This change in schedule comes after the announcement that Ajith's film Vidamuyarchi will hit the theaters on February 6, with Neek's release being shifted to avoid clash. Neek will have a story based on the themes of love and relationships, designed keeping in mind the sensibilities of Gen Z.

The film stars Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Warrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabia Khatoon and Ramya Ranganathan in lead roles, which promises to be a diverse and engaging ensemble cast. The music of the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, who has worked in Dhanush's successful films like Aadukalam, Asuran, Polladhavan, Vaathi and Captain Miller. Leon Brito serves as cinematographer, while GK Prasanna will handle the editing of the film. This is Dhanush's third film as a director after the success of Pa Paandi and Raayan. His directorial debut Paa Paandi received critical acclaim, while Raayan was his 50th film as an actor. Additionally, Dhanush is currently working on his fourth directorial venture Idli Kadai, which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2025. Promising to explore modern-day relationships through the lens of youth culture, Neek is expected to be a thought-provoking and emotionally engaging experience.
