Diljit Dosanjh's 'Punjab 95' to release internationally on February 7
Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has announced that his much-awaited film “Punjab 95”, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalda, will be released internationally on February 7 without any cuts.
Directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala's banner RSVP Movies, “Punjab 95” will not be releasing in India as of now. The film was delayed after a standoff with the Central Board of Film Certification (CFBC).
It also stars Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky, who came into limelight with his acting in “Kohra”.
On Friday evening, Diljit shared a trailer of the film on Shesl Media, in which he is playing the character of Khalda. The film is based on Jaswant's investigation into alleged human rights violations and incidents of disappearance of Sikhs during terrorism in Punjab.
He wrote, “Punjab 95” will be released in theaters internationally on February 7.
