Ingredients required to make Paneer Manchurian

To fry paneer:
– Paneer – 250 grams (cut into square pieces)
– Cornflour – 3 tbsp
– Flour – 2 tbsp
– Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
– Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
– Soya sauce – 1 tsp
– Salt – as per taste
– Water – as required (to make thick batter)
– Oil – for frying

To make the sauce:
– Oil – 2 tbsp
– Garlic (finely chopped) – 2 tsp
– Ginger (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
– Green chilli (chopped) – 2
– Onion (cut into square pieces) – 1 medium
– Capsicum (cut into square pieces) – 1
– Soya sauce – 2 tbsp
– Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp
– Chili sauce – 1 tablespoon
– Vinegar – 1 tsp
– Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
– Salt – as per taste
– Cornflour – 1 tsp (dissolved in water)
– Green onion – for garnish

How to make Paneer Manchurian

1. Fry the Paneer:
1. Prepare a thick batter by adding cornflour, flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, soya sauce and salt in a bowl.
2. Dip the paneer pieces in the batter and fry in hot oil until golden and crisp.
3. Place the fried paneer on kitchen paper to drain off excess oil.

2. Prepare the sauce:
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
2. Add garlic, ginger and green chilli and fry on high flame.
3. Add onion and capsicum and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Keep the vegetables slightly crunchy.
4. Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, and vinegar and mix.
5. Add salt and black pepper powder.
6. Add the prepared cornflour solution and cook until the sauce thickens.

3. Prepare Paneer Manchurian:
1. Add fried paneer to the sauce and mix well.
2. Cook for 1-2 minutes so that the cheese absorbs the sauce properly.

4. Serve:
Garnish the hot Paneer Manchurian with green onions.

– You can add some honey to the sauce to enhance the taste.
