IND vs ENG: Both teams reached Kolkata, know the record of T20 matches between India and England

New Delhi: The five-match T20 series between India and England will be played before the Champions Trophy, the first match of which will be held at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The captaincy of the Indian team is in the hands of Suryakumar Yadav, while the England team will be led by Jos Buttler. Players of both the teams have now reached Kolkata.

The match will take place after three years

This first T20 match will be held in Kolkata after three years. England all-rounder Liam Livingston arrived directly from South Africa, while other England players arrived from Dubai in the evening. Indian players are arriving from their respective cities, among which Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh have already reached here. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma have also reached Kolkata, while coach Gautam Gambhir and other players arrived in the evening. Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya will reach here late at night.

Mohammed Shami played his last international match

Mohammed Shami played the last international match for India in 2023, after which he was out due to injury. A few months ago, he returned to domestic cricket and after good performance, he has now got a chance in the T20 team. The selectors want to thoroughly check his fitness, especially before the Champions Trophy 2025. So far, 24 T20 matches have been played between the two teams, out of which India has won 13 matches, while England has won 11 matches, thus India has the upper hand. Both teams will participate in three practice sessions before the first match. After this, the second T20 will be played in Chennai on 25 January, the third in Rajkot on 28 January, the fourth in Pune on 31 January and the fifth match in Mumbai on 2 February.
