IPS trainee officers to learn crowd management at Maha Kumbh-Read

Hyderabad: A batch of IPS trainee officers from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) will be visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Uttar Pradesh to have a first-hand understanding of crowd management.
The batch of IPS trainee candidates will visit the Maha Kumbh in the first week of February along with an instructor. Millions of people from across the globe are gathering in Uttar Pradesh to participate in the event.
“A batch of probationer candidates will leave for Uttar Pradesh in the first week of February. They will visit the places and study the measures and initiatives taken for security and crowd management,” said an official of SVP National Police Academy.
The trainees will gain first-hand experience by visiting the field and also interact with the senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh administration to know the details of the background work done for the event.
The SVP National Police Academy, as part of its curriculum, sends the trainee IPS probationers to major events across the country for study tours.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday asked the SVPNPA to send the IPS trainee to study crowd management and public safety initiatives during Maha Kumbh 2025.
