The Indian team and the England team have reached Kolkata for the match to be held on 22 January. The first T20I match is going to be played at the historic Eden Gardens after three years. England team's all-rounder Liam Livingston first reached Kolkata. He was playing South Africa T20 League. He came directly to India from South Africa.

The remaining members of the England team captained by Jos Buttler arrived here in the evening from Dubai. Team India players have come from their respective cities. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh 4. Arrived at 30. After that came Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and the rest of the players arrived in the evening.
