Delhi: Indian cricket selectors have announced their 15-member team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be hosted by Pakistan from 19 February. India captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the squad during the press conference. Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has not been given a place in the team.

Mohammed Siraj has been dropped from the ODI squad for the England series and Champions Trophy 2025. In his place, the team management has expressed confidence in Arshdeep Singh. Explaining the reason for excluding Siraj, captain Rohit Sharma said, “We still have doubts about Bumrah's availability. Therefore, we have chosen a squad in which we have both the options – one who bowls with the new ball and one who takes wickets in the death overs. If Bumrah is not available, we hope that Arshdeep will contribute with good starts and death overs with the new ball. Shami has performed brilliantly with the new ball and in such a situation Siraj's influence reduces a bit if he does not bowl with the new ball.
