Kho-Kho World Cup: Indian women's and men's teams will rock the finals, title match with Nepal today
Sports Desk: In the Kho-Kho World Cup 2025, the Indian women's and men's teams continued their excellent performance on Saturday and made it to the finals of the tournament. The women's team defeated South Africa in the semi-finals and the men's team also defeated South Africa in the semi-finals and got the ticket for the final. Now both the teams will face Nepal for the title match. The final match is to be played today on January 19 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.
The semi-final match of the World Cup was played on Saturday 18 January. In the second semi-final, the Indian women's team faced South Africa. Team India had made it to the quarter-finals a day earlier by defeating Bangladesh by a huge scoreline of 109-16. This time also the team showed a strong game but South Africa still did not let them win easily.
The Indian team started the match with an attack in the first turn and started dominating the match from there. Although South Africa did not give any chance to score points openly, it itself was not able to score many points. Ultimately, after completion of 4 turns, India won the match with the score of 66-16 and made it to the final. India will now face Nepal in the title match, which had earlier entered the final by defeating Uganda 89-18 in the semi-final.
After the easy victory of the women's team, it was expected that the men's team would also register a similar victory against South Africa in the semi-finals, but the situation was completely opposite. South Africa had troubled India right from the first turn. Still, India had the lead till the second turn, but in the third turn, South Africa attacked and turned the tables and took a lead of 38-28.

The Indian team was in danger of defeat and had to make a comeback on the basis of its attack. The Indian players showed their full experience and made a strong comeback and ultimately won the match with a scoreline of 60-42 and made it to the finals. Like the women's team, the men's team will also face Nepal in the final.
For information, let us tell you that Nepal women's team defeated Uganda 89-18 in the semi-finals and made it to the finals. Whereas in the men's category, Nepal confirmed its place in the title match by defeating Iran 72-20. Now both the teams are going to face competition from India.
