New Delhi : New Year has brought gifts of happiness for Indian employees. According to a recently released report, the salary of employees in many different sectors of the country is expected to increase in the year 2025. HR consulting firm Mercer has released a report based on the Total Hiring Survey. It has been told in this report that the salary of employees in India has been continuously increasing in the last 5 years. It is expected to increase to 9.4 percent in the year 2025 as compared to 8 percent in the year 2020.

According to the report released by HR consulting firm Mercer, salary hike of up to 9.4 percent in all sectors of the country reflects the country's strong economic growth and increasing demand for skilled talent. The automotive sector has been kept at the forefront in this list. Salary in this sector is expected to increase by 8.8 percent to 10 percent. The credit for this goes to the increasing demand for EVs in the country and the 'Make in India' initiative of the Government of India.

Salary of employees of this sector will increase

The sector related to manufacturing and engineering is at second place in this list. The salary of employees working in this sector may increase by 8 to 9.7 percent, which shows the growth of the manufacturing ecosystem.

More than 1,550 companies from different sectors of the country have participated in this survey of HR consulting firm Mercer. This list includes sectors like technology, life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, automotive and consumer goods. Mercer's report reveals that 37 percent of organizations plan to increase their workforce in the year 2025. Besides, the demand for talent is also increasing across the country.

It is being told that this year, layoffs in companies are expected to remain stable at 11.9 percent. Mansi Singhal, career leader at Mercer India, while giving an interview to news agency PTI, said that the talent landscape of the country is going through an important phase of change. Pay plans based on better work are being adopted in 75 percent of the organizations.
