Delhi: Rahul Gandhi cornered the Centre-Delhi government by sharing the video of AIIMS Delhi, saying – patients are forced to sleep in filth…
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi visited Delhi AIIMS late on Thursday night, where he met the patients and their families and got information about the facilities there. He had accused the Center and Delhi government of insensitivity towards patients. Now by posting on X the system of AIIMS has been questioned. The national healthcare system is completely devastated, and patients are paying huge prices in the hope of cheap and accurate treatment in Delhi.
He said, “The hell out of AIIMS! Outside AIIMS, poor patients and their families from across the country are forced to sleep amidst cold, dirt and hunger. They do not have a roof, food, toilet and drinking water. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while showing the patients in the video, said, “In the 21st century, people are lying like this. It is completely disappointing that people are suffering and dying here.” Patients also informed Rahul Gandhi about their problems.

Targeted at Centre-Delhi government
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote on Instagram after his visit to AIIMS, “The burden of disease, the biting cold and government insensitivity. Both the Central and Delhi governments have completely failed in fulfilling their responsibilities towards the public. The situation is such that people who have come from far away places bearing the burden of their loved ones' illness, are forced to sleep on footpaths and subways in this cold winter.”

A patient told Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, “Some have come from Bihar and some have come from Uttar Pradesh. We are dying here in the cold. Drinking water and food are not available. Doctors have been sending people from here to there for 15 days. “At 6 o’clock they are thrown out of the hospital.”
He claimed that the failure of both the Delhi and Central governments was glaring, and Rahul Gandhi asked, “Is this the health system of our country?” “This is completely unacceptable,” he said. The most basic responsibility of any government is to provide care, facilities and treatment to the sick.
