TikTok Banned in US: TikTok banned in America, now the Chinese app has big expectations from the new President Trump
TikTok Banned in US: Chinese short video app TikTok has suffered a major setback in America. After months of legal battle, TikTok has finally been banned. In fact, on January 17, the US Supreme Court approved a law to ban TikTok, citing national security concerns. However, the short-video platform just got its hopes up from new President Donald Trump.

TikTok, owned by Chinese company Bytedance, said in a message sent to its users on Saturday night, “A law banning TikTok has come into force in America. This means you can't use TikTok right now. However, we are pleased that the new President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on restoring TikTok. In such a situation, you remain with us.
According to media reports, American officials have expressed concern about TikTok and claimed that it is a threat to national security. They believe that the Chinese government could use this app to spy on Americans or secretly influence public opinion by controlling what content is shown or hidden.
These US concerns stem from Chinese national security laws, under which companies are required to help in intelligence activities. FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress last year that the Chinese government could access and compromise the devices of Americans through TikTok's software.
