Balod :- Revenue Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma arrived at the conclusion of the state level hockey tournament organized in village Kannewada of the district. During this, he has given a big statement regarding reservation in urban body and panchayat elections.
“Reservation as per Supreme Court guidelines”: On the uproar in the state regarding OBC reservation, Minister Tankram Verma said that no decision is bigger than the Supreme Court. Here the reservation of backward classes has been done as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court and no reduction has been made in any kind of reservation.
Rajnandgaon team became the winner: Let us tell you that Minister Verma had participated in the state level girls hockey tournament. Girls below 16 years of age participated in this three-day state level girls hockey competition. A total of 6 teams from the state including Durg, Kabirdham, Bemetara, Rajnandgaon, Raipur and Balod districts participated in it. In the exciting and competitive match that lasted for three days, the team of Rajnandgaon won the title by securing the first place.
All the districts of Chhattisgarh have been included under the Khelo India program by the Central Government to promote sports talent. Similarly, such events are potentially taking place. This event is very important in view of the work that the government is doing to progress in the field of sports. Today we have participated in its closing ceremony: Tankram Verma, Minister, Chhattisgarh.
Awarded to the winning team: Minister Tank Ram Verma awarded with his own hands the team of Rajnandgaon district which stood first in the entire tournament. He said that the government is running all the schemes to promote sports talent.
Overview of Military Training Camp: On this occasion, the chief guest and guests honored the winning and runner-up teams by presenting them trophies. During this, the guests also honored the referee of the national hockey match participating in the competition and the trainers of the pre-military training conducted in Kannewada. Minister Verma inspected the pre-military training center operating at the event venue and praised it.
