She started her journey in 1987 with the TV series Chunauti. However, her big break came when she finally bagged a role opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Not only in acting but even in the music industry, this person created ripples. If you are guessing who we are talking about, then the person in the discussion is Suchitra Krishnamoorthi.

Suchitra gained prominence with her lead role in Kundan Shah’s iconic 1994 romantic comedy Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan. In the 1990s, she also ventured into music, releasing albums like Dole Dole and Zindagi. After a decade-long break from acting, she made her comeback with My Wife’s Murder (2005) opposite Anil Kapoor and later portrayed media executive Nalini Kashyap in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rann (2010).

Suchitra grabbed attention for her blogs, which created a stir. She has written several books, such as Drama Queen (2013), The Good News Reporter, and The Ghost on the Ledge. About Suchitra’s Personal Life

Suchitra tied the knot with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur in 1999. However, their wedding did not last long. The couple decided to part ways. Suchitra accused her ex-husband of infidelity, which led to a bitter breakup.

In one of her blogs, Suchitra penned that a ‘man-eater’ was the reason for her separation. Though the actress did not name anyone initially, she later revealed that it was Preity Zinta she was talking about.

Preity responded by mocking Suchitra for being a homemaker, suggesting she was envious of Preity’s success as a leading actress. She even implied that Suchitra was mentally unstable, going so far as to recommend psychiatric help.
