New Delhi:- In Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025, 100 women will become Naga Sadhvis on Mauni Amavasya on 29 January. His hard work for initiation continues. On Sunday, after offering Pind Daan and bathing in Ganga, everyone wore white clothes. Two women among those who took initiation are from America and Italy. 1500 Avadhoots of Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara are going to become Naga Sadhus. His initiation process is also going on.

Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara is the Akhara with maximum number of Naga Sannyasis. The number of Naga Sadhus is continuously increasing here. These women who took initiation got their hair cut on the banks of Sangam and offered themselves Pind Daan while they were alive. During this period 17 bodies were made. Of these, 16 bodies belonged to his seven generations and one body was his own.

What is Sannyasa and how does initiation take place?

Sannyasa means proper renunciation of desires. To be a Sanyasi means to become fire, air, water and light. Every moment of a monk's life is dedicated to charity. For Naga initiation one has to do rigorous sadhana under the flag of religion. Female Sadhvis have to give up their adornment and perform Pind Daan.

This is why Pind Daan is done before initiation.

Divya Giri of Mankameshwar Math said that female Naga monks also undergo penance like men. Before renunciation, they have to give up makeup and perform complex rituals like Pind Daan. So that, even if there is no one to perform the last rites after death, there is no problem.

Women from America and Italy also became Naga Sadhvi

Junapithadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Awadheshanand Giri Maharaj gave initiation into sannyasa to the Naga-sanyasis at midnight. Two women from America and Italy also took initiation into Naga Sannyasa on the banks of Ganga. After initiation, the American woman has been named Kamakhya and the Italian woman has been named Shivani. One is 55 years old and the other is still young.
