Rohit Sharma’s Hilarious Moment at ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Press Conference & India’s Big Squad Announcement

During the 2025 Champions Trophy press conference, India captain Rohit Sharma brought humor to the session, which left fans in splits, by calling it “boring.” The press event, held on Saturday, January 18, featured Rohit and India’s chief selector, Ajit Agarkar, who were present to announce the squad for the upcoming ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy.

As the conference covered topics such as team selection, player choices, and the exclusion of certain players, Rohit jokingly turned to Agarkar after it concluded and said:

“We remain optimistic that Jasprit Bumrah will be fit and ready to play in the Champions Trophy. Meanwhile, Harshit Rana will play in the England series, and Kuldeep Yadav is set to make his comeback after injury. Shubman Gill has been appointed vice-captain of the ODI team, while pacer Mohammed Siraj has been left out. Mohammed Shami will make his return to the 50-over format after being absent since the 2023 ODI World Cup. Despite a stellar performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Karun Nair has been excluded from the squad.”
