Israel gave ultimatum to Hamas, release the hostages otherwise nothing will happen

New Delhi: A new twist has emerged in the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel, when Hamas has not yet handed over to Israel the list of those hostages for whose release it has shown commitment. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on the morning of January 19 giving information about the matter. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a high-level security meeting overnight to discuss the process of implementing the ceasefire in the absence of a list of hostages, the statement said.

ceasefire will not apply

Prime Minister Netanyahu clarified that the ceasefire will not come into effect until Hamas provides a complete list of hostages whose release it has committed to. According to information, the ceasefire was scheduled to take effect from 8:30 am, but the Prime Minister ordered it to be stopped immediately, saying that Israel's security and the release of hostages are the priority.

Prime Minister gave strict instructions

The Prime Minister has also given strict instructions to the Israel Defense Force (IDF) not to implement the ceasefire until Hamas provides a complete list of hostages from its side. He also said that Hamas has to understand its responsibility and it cannot be avoided by merely making it a part of the talks.

may have a negative impact

The development has further escalated tensions between Israel and Hamas and uncertainty over the ceasefire issue has dealt a blow to regional stability. Israel has made it clear that its priority is the safety of its citizens and soldiers, while Hamas has not yet given any clear response on the issue. Experts believe that this deadlock could have a negative impact on peace talks and regional balance. Now all eyes are on how Hamas reacts to this and how this crisis is resolved.
