A concert video was posted on Instagram by a fan, in which Chris was heard saying, “This is our forth visit to India, and the second time to play. First time we played a long show and we could not have asked for a better audience. Thank you for coming today everybody!”
He added, “It is amazing to us that you welcome us even though we are from Great Britain. Thank you for forgiving us for all of the bad things that Great Britain has done.”
A fan reacted: “haha he’s so real for that.” A second added: “He is the embodiment of ‘unity through music’!” Another note read, “Chris healing intergenerational trauma with a mic, stage and some tunes.”
The musician has been enjoying the essence of Mumbai since last Thursday. He is accompanied by actor-girlfriend Dakota Johnson. In addition, the duo went to Marine Drive and later to a Shiva temple in Mumbai to worship. Along with Gayatri Joshi and actor Sonali Bendre, Dakota also visited the Siddhivinayak Temple.
The group is also planning to perform in Mumbai on Sunday and Tuesday. They will play two successive performances in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
