Meanwhile, more than 1100 habitual criminals from different districts of the capital have been thrown out of the city. This action has been taken under sections 47 and 48 of the Delhi Police Act. A senior officer said that this process, aimed at maintaining peace and harmony, is used to keep criminals away from specific areas for a certain period.

According to the information given in the official data, a total of 1130 people from different districts of Delhi were evacuated from the city. It was told that under this process, notices are first sent to such persons, in which they are asked to explain why they should not be thrown out of the city and if their explanation is found unsatisfactory, then further action is taken. .

According to the data, Delhi Police had expelled 268 people from the city in 2015, 215 in 2016, 133 in 2017, 79 in 2018, 302 in 2019, 176 in 2020, 311 in 2021, 716 in 2022 and 619 in 2023. . The police officer said that driving out habitual criminals from the city plays an important role in maintaining peace and harmony in the society.
