Sarla Aviation unveils 'Zero', the future of mobility at Global Expo 2025

Aiming to revolutionize urban transportation in India, the company will introduce electric flying taxis in Bangalore by 2028, which will eventually be expanded to Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and other major cities, marking a bold move towards sustainable and efficient urban mobility solutions. Founded by Adrian Schmidt, Rakesh Gaonkar and Shivam Chauhan in October 2023, the Sarala Aviation prototype, named Zero, is designed to accommodate six passengers. and can carry a maximum load of 680 kg, making it the eVTOL with the highest payload on the market.
With speeds of up to 250 km/h and optimized for short trips of 20-30 km, the Zero promises to significantly reduce travel time in congested urban areas. Offering a cost-effective solution, the company has previously launched premium cab services. It is planned to provide trips at prices similar to those of the United States, with the aim of eventually making them as cheap as auto-rickshaw fares, making urban air mobility accessible to a much wider audience.
