New Delhi. A sudden fire incident occurred in the Mahakumbh Mela area on Thursday morning, causing chaos in the area. The fire was so fierce that a plume of smoke was visible from a distance. 20 to 25 tents in the grip of fire
The fire broke out near the Old GT Road crossing on the border of Sector 19 and Sector 5, which started from Vivekananda Camp. Due to the fire, about 20-25 tents were burnt to ashes. According to the fire department, the cause of the fire is probably said to be an electrical short circuit or flying spark. The fire flared up further due to the blast of 2-3 cylinders kept in the camps, but with the promptness of the fire department and the help of SDRF, the situation was controlled. While extinguishing the fire, the administration ensured that no devotee was harmed.
