After obtaining the registration number of the accused's bike, the police used facial recognition technology and started tracking him.

After scanning the CCTV footage for several hours, the police obtained information about the whereabouts of the accused. He was found hiding in a labor camp near a deserted area of Thane. The accused was arrested on Sunday, January 19.

During interrogation, the accused told the police that he had seen his pictures on TV after the incident and hence fled to Thane. He also told the police that he did not know that he was going to enter Saif Ali Khan's house, although the police suspected that he was planning a robbery.
