Pakistani army is now kidnapping children, human rights organization strongly condemned it

Balochistan: Baloch Yakjehati Committee (BYC) strongly condemned the incident of kidnapping of two children on Friday. According to BYC, two children named Shahnawaz and Yusuf were forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani army. Which is a serious incident promoting oppression of Baloch people.

BYC said Shahnawaz and Yusuf were abducted when they were on their way to get food. Yusuf was released after enduring severe physical and mental torture, but the other child, Shahnawaz, is still in the illegal custody of the Pakistani Army. BYC has strongly condemned this act, calling it dangerous for human rights and the safety of children.

Violations of international and humanitarian laws

BYC condemned the abduction of minors and said it was a violation of multiple international and humanitarian laws. This is a “gross disregard for the human rights and safety of children”.

BYC condemns the dangerous and unlawful disappearance of two Baloch children Shahnawaz (son of Habib) and Yusuf (son of Qasim) from Gomazi, District Kech on 16 January, 2025. This heinous act by the Pakistani Army is a clear violation of numerous humanitarian and international laws, including those specifically designed to protect children, who are exempt from harm in any circumstances of conflict or war.

One released, one still in army custody

Both the minors were abducted when they were going to collect food for their brother. Yusuf Baloch was later released after enduring severe physical and mental torture, while Shahnawaz is still in the illegal custody of security forces.
