Justice Subramaniam Prasad gave this order while hearing Dhawan's petition. The petition filed by the former cricketer has alleged that a company named DB Dixon Batteries Pvt Ltd is using Dhawan's photographs to promote its products even though his contract with them has expired. In this, a request has been made to appoint an arbitrator to resolve the dispute between the cricketer and the company supplying 'sealed lead acid batteries'.

On Dhavan's application, Justice Prasad issued notice to the defendant. “Issuing notice to the respondent… the respondent is directed not to use the photograph of the applicant in advertising its products till the next date of hearing,” the notice said. List the matter for hearing on February 18.
The contract is over but…
Advocate Rizwan, appearing for Shikhar Dhawan, argued that his client had signed a promotional contract with the company in August last year, but it was terminated in November after the company failed to clear a major part of the dues.
