Soha Ali Khan opens up on brother Saif Ali Khan’s current health status
Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is currently receiving treatment at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed at his Bandra home early on January 16. He is “recovering well,” according to his sister Soha Ali Khan.
In conversation with media, she said, “We are happy that he is recovering well and we are very thankful and we feel very blessed and grateful that it wasn’t any worse. Thank you for all your wishes.”
An intruder who was eventually identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad broke into the actor’s house with the purported purpose to steal. Saif was stabbed in the thoracic spine while trying to break up a fight between the invader and his housemaid.
Reportedly, the individual detained for allegedly assaulting actor Saif Ali Khan is an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, the Mumbai Police said Sunday morning.
According to the police statement, a case has been filed under sections 311, 312, 331(4), 331(6), and 331(7) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), and multiple investigative teams were established to look into the incident.
Additionally, the police claim that the accused was on the verge of escaping to his hometown when he was arrested in Thane’s Hiranandani Estate. The accused was found to be a native of Bangladesh’s Jhalokati district.
On Sunday, Bandra Holiday Court placed accused Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad under five days police custody.
56-year-old staff nurse Aleyamma Philip reported the attack. On January 16, the incident happened at roughly 2:00 AM.
