New Delhi:- IIT graduate Abhay Singh left his job and adopted spirituality and became the topic of discussion in Mahakumbh city. He went viral for simplifying complex spiritual concepts through diagrams and visuals. Singh, popularly known as 'IIT Baba' or 'Engineer Baba', has gained immense popularity during the Kumbh.
A woman selling necklaces in the Mahakumbh fair in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh is also going viral. It is being lovingly called 'Monalisa'. She has become popular for her beautiful brown eyes, ever since her video was shown on YouTube, many people coming to the fair are buying goods from her at expensive prices and want to get clicked with her.
Rudraksha Baba
Digambar Ajay Giri of Panchayati Niranjani Akhara who is known as Rudraksh Baba. He is also garnering a lot of discussions. He wears a rosary of 108 Rudrakshas made of 11,000 Rudrakshas. The weight of these Rudrakshas is more than 30 kg. Many devotees and social media influencers have been attracted towards Baba to take pictures and videos of him.
Lauren Powell Jobs
Earlier, Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of Apple founder Steve Jobs, made headlines at the 2025 Mahakumbh Mela. She was given the Hindu name 'Kamala' by Panchayati Akhara Shri Niranjaniya. Her guru and the chief saint of the Akhara told news agency ANI that she now wants to join 'Sanatan Dharma' and learn the tradition.
Chai Baba
This time in the Maha Kumbh Mela, Chai Baba has also attracted the attention of the people. He came into limelight for giving free coaching to civil services aspirants for the last 40 years. Without eating or drinking anything, Baba survives by drinking 10 cups of tea a day and communicates with students through WhatsApp.
Grain Baba
Amarjeet, popularly known as Grain Baba, attracted people's attention because he grew crops on his head. Baba has been using this unique method to spread awareness about the environment for the last five years. Hathayogi Baba grows wheat, millet, gram and peas on his head. They also water them regularly to keep them healthy.
Sujata Jha
Sujata Jha lost her way in the crowded Mahakumbh and lost her family members. She was separated from her family for more than three hours. However, when he saw his family members talking to a reporter, a wave of happiness ran across his face. This reunion was captured on camera and hence, became a popular moment of Kumbh.
muscular baba
The 7 feet tall 'Muscular Baba' who came from Russia also attracted everyone's attention in the Maha Kumbh Mela. Baba, dressed in simple saffron colored clothes, was carrying a big bag with him and a Rudraksh rosary around his neck. A video of this sadhu sitting in his tent at the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj went viral, in which he hit a reporter with tongs. During interrogation, the monk became irritated by the questions. During this, he stood up from his place and hit the reporter and pushed him out of his tent.
