ICC Champions Trophy: The player who dismissed Babar Azam in the World Cup will become the 'X factor' of Team India.

Delhi: The Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025 was selected on Saturday. Now only one month is left for the start of the tournament, which will start from 19th February. This tournament is making a comeback after eight years, as it was last played in 2017.

Kuldeep Yadav will be 'X Factor'

Former Indian batsman Suresh Raina believes that Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav can prove to be a game changer for the team in the upcoming Champions Trophy. Kuldeep, who has been away from competitive cricket since hernia surgery in November, was included in the ODI and Champions Trophy squad against England on Saturday.

Raina expressed hope on Kuldeep's hard work

Raina said during an event, “The role of Bumrah and Arshdeep will be important in the death overs, but Kuldeep will be the player who will put pressure in the middle overs. We all remember how he dismissed Babar Azam in the 2023 World Cup and changed the course of the match. Right now he is working hard at NCA and he has a different style of deceiving the batsmen with his bowling.”

Kuldeep Yadav's ODI record

Kuldeep Yadav has played 103 innings in 106 ODI matches so far. During this period, he has taken 172 wickets at an average of 26.00 and economy of 4.99. Apart from this, he has also taken 5 wicket haul twice and 4 wicket haul seven times. His best performance is 6/25 and Kuldeep has also scored 205 runs in ODI.
