Crisis in Pak Army, Army Chief Asim Munir furious, action taken against 100 officers, 35 dismissed

Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment, while his wife Bushra Biwi has also been sentenced to 7 years. After this, now people close to Imran Khan are also being targeted in Pakistan.

Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir has taken a big step against military officers close to Imran Khan. He has taken strict action against 100 army officers, out of which 35 officers have been directly dismissed from the army.

Targeting military officers close to Imran Khan

After the incident that took place on May 9 in Pakistan, Army Chief Asim Munir had formed an investigation committee under the leadership of Brigadier Shoaib. Its main objective was to identify military officers close to Imran Khan. Brigadier Shoaib's investigation identified 100 officers who had good relations with Imran Khan.

The Pakistani Army hoped that Imran Khan would accept their conditions in jail. Had this been the case, no action would have been taken against him. But when talks with Imran Khan failed, he was sentenced to 14 years. After this, General Asim Munir took strict action against military officers close to Imran Khan.

According to reports, 15 army officers have been removed from the army without pension, while 20 officers have been given compulsory retirement. Apart from this, 50 officers have been retired without any mistake. Negative reports have been entered against 5 officers in their service books and the remaining 10 officers have been given strict warnings. All these officers include people of different ranks.
