AEW Departure and WWE Interest

AEW star Malakai Black recently made headlines due to rumors about his departure, sparking WWE's interest in him. Following news of his possible exit, reports emerged that WWE is keen to bring Black back.

Recent events in AEW have suggested that Black might be finished with the promotion. This comes after his House of Black faction members Buddy Matthews, Brody King, and Julia Hart were encouraged to pursue individual paths.

With Malakai Black seeming to be on his way out at AEW, recent reports have revealed the backstage perception of Black. According to PWTorchBlack received criticism from his AEW colleagues, who were frustrated by his reluctance to participate in what was described as “doing business.” This included not wanting to lose matches and “frequent claims of injury issues.”

The report also highlighted Black’s relationship with AEW president Tony Khan. It mentioned that they never built a strong bond. Amid this situation at AEW, reports have revealed that influential people in WWE see Black as a potential top star.

WWE reportedly sees Malakai Black as a potential top singles star

PWTorch revealed the backstage perception of Malakai Black and his relationship with AEW president Tony Khan. However, the same report also stated that Black has influential people in WWE backing him for a potential return.

The report added that his supporters believe Black could become a “top singles act” in WWE. It also suggested that Black finds the WWE environment under Triple H more appealing than it was under Vince McMahon’s creative control.

Before joining AEW in 2021, Malakai Black made a name for himself in WWE under the name Aleister Black. At the time, Triple H, who was in charge of WWE NXT, booked Black as the face of the brand. However, his main roster storyline took a completely different direction under Vince McMahon’s control. With McMahon gone and Triple H now overseeing the main roster, Black is poised for a return.
