Recent reports indicate that former U.S. President Barack Obama has decided to divorce his wife, Michelle, and the two are living together but in a “good friends” relationship. This news has generated much speculation about their marriage.
According to global news agencies, while the renowned actress Jennifer Aniston has time and again rejected any romantic involvement with Obama, rumors of their closeness continue to circulate. These rumors have strengthened the belief that the 30-year marriage between Obama and Michelle is now facing a “challenging phase.”
An insider close to the couple reportedly said that Barack Obama is surely going through tough times, growing emotional distance between him and his wife Michelle. The source continued to reveal that Michelle has taken offense at some of the rumors suggesting that Barack has an affair with Jennifer Aniston. This fact has strained the relationship between the two, and the closeness they once enjoyed seems to fade away.
These rumors about an alleged relationship between Obama and Jennifer Aniston have been circulating since 2022, but received further attention as Obama attended the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter alone, which stirred more speculation surrounding their personal life.
But reports of marital rifts are unsubstantiated. Closely confided sources disclosed that they preferred not to join the inauguration by Trump because she did not like “faking a smile” over the event.
It seems the former First Lady was prompted to make such decision because of “offensive remarks” by Trump against Obama as well as a “history of racist statements” by him.
The report indicates that her thoughts regarding Trump have not altered; she is not one to put on a mask and smile just for the sake of etiquette.

While she will not be the only Democrat missing the inauguration, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, among others, will also miss the event on January 20.
Four years ago, it was Trump who broke tradition, refusing to attend the inauguration of President Joe Biden after basing his decision on claims that the 2020 election was stolen.
