Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday said he will rescind several “harmful and radical” executive orders issued by the Biden administration within hours of taking office as the 47th president. Trump also said those orders would be declared “invalid” by the end of Monday.
Addressing the gathering during a candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, Trump said, “With a stroke of my pen, I will rescind dozens of destructive and radical executive orders and actions of the Biden administration. And by this time tomorrow, they will all be invalid.”
These orders will be signed
Trump further said that within hours of taking office, he would sign nearly 100 executive orders and said his administration would work to address the many challenges facing the country, including immigration, inflation and border security. Will work decisively for this.
Trump said that his new government will run on the principle of “promises made, promises kept”. He expressed confidence that his second term will be more successful than the first.
“Within hours of taking office, I will sign nearly 100 executive orders, many of which I will mention in my next speech. We will not waste a single moment in fulfilling our promises. The Trump administration will always follow the principle of 'promises made, promises kept', and we will keep our promises.”
Restoration of sovereignty begins
“Our previous administration was very, very successful,” he said. And I think it's going to be even more successful, maybe even more successful if possible. In less than 24 hours from now, the attacks on our borders will end and the restoration of our sovereignty will begin. We will stop the influx of criminals into our country from countries around the world immediately. We will quickly defeat the inflation crisis and unlock liquid gold.”
