Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the seventh service extension to Yamuna Authority CEO Dr. Arun Veer Singh. Dr. Arunveer Singh will continue to serve as CEO in Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) till 31 June 2025. Arunveer Singh will remain the CEO of YIDA and Jewar Airport. The Industrial Development Department has issued an order to extend the tenure. Big responsibilities like Greater Noida Film City and Jewar Airport are on the shoulders of Arunveer Singh and perhaps understanding its importance, he has been given extension in service once again.

Dr. Arunveer Singh was an administrative officer of Uttar Pradesh Public Service (PCS). He became an IAS officer by being promoted in the year 2006. Dr. Arunveer Singh, born in Basti (Siddharthnagar) in the year 1959, retired on 30 June 2019 while being the CEO of Yamuna Development Authority and Niyal. During that time, land acquisition work was going on for Noida Airport. In such a situation, after the retirement of Dr. Arunveer Singh, on June 13, 2019, the state government had extended the extension of service as CEO of Yamuna Authority and NIYAL by one year. In view of the development works of Noida International Airport and Yamuna Authority, Yogi government has once again expressed confidence in Dr. Arunveer Singh. Now he has got extension in service for the 7th time. Dr. Arunveer Singh is going to be on extension from 30 June 2019 to 30 June 2025.

YIDA's CEO Dr. Arunveer Singh is also known as Vikas Purush. Dr. Arunveer Singh has not been named as Vikas Purush just like that. In fact, at one time (year 1992-93) when Greater Noida city was taking shape, the then CEO Brijesh Kumar was called the architect of Greater Noida. Now Dr. Arunveer Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yamuna Development Authority, is counted among the few officers of the country who are called development men. Due to Dr. Arunveer Singh's honesty and priority in doing development work, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has kept him on the post of CEO on the basis of agreement for 7 years even after his retirement.
Dr. Arunveer Singh has become such an officer who is admired by the general public, everyone in government, governance and administration. Be it the biggest Jewar Airport being built in Yamuna region or Film City, Medical Device Park and Heritage City, all are the top priority projects of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The speed with which Dr. Arunveer Singh is taking these projects forward is an example for the entire administrative machinery. Because of this example, everyone from the common people to the big leaders and officials call Dr. Arunveer Singh as Vikas Purush.
