The franchise issued a statement saying, “Joburg Super Kings fast bowler Gerald Coetzee has suffered a left hamstring strain and will not be able to take part in the SA20 2025. Gerald last played against Durban Super Giants on January 14. Joburg The Super Kings statement further said that the fast bowler will undergo rehabilitation. The franchise has not made any statement regarding his return.
Difficulties may also arise for Gujarat Titans
Gerald Coetzee's injury could create problems for Indian Premier League (IPL) team Gujarat Titans. The franchise bought him for Rs 2.4 crore in the IPL Mega Auction 2025 in November last year.
