Man coming from UAE arrested with foreign currency at IGI Airport, suitcase recovered

A person has been arrested with foreign currency at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The accused had tried to bring the money by hiding it in a suitcase. A 26-year-old man, who is a resident of Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested in this case. The accused has been arrested from Terminal 2 of IGI Airport in New Delhi.

A huge amount of foreign currency has been recovered from the accused.

In this case, information has been given by the officials that a huge amount of foreign currency has been recovered from the accused. The accused had landed in Hyderabad on January 18 by flight 6E-2768. He was about to go to Ras Al Khaimah by flight 6E-1495. USD 20,000, Saudi Riyal 5,25,500 and Qatari Riyal 1,000 have been recovered from the accused.

The value of all the recovered money is ₹1,35,01,150. The accused has been arrested under the Customs Act, 1962 and the amount has been recovered. Further action is being taken in this matter.
