Whenever there is a party at home, we prepare different types of food items. First of all, several delicious snacks are served to the guests as starters. From French fries to cutlets, there are some snacks that everyone loves. People serve many types of cutlets, from potato or paneer cutlets to vegetable cutlets. But it is seen that when cutlets are made, they do not become that crispy. Due to which cutlets do not taste so tasty. You might also be thinking of serving cutlets as snacks in your party and would want to make them even crispier. So you don't need to do much for this. If you take care of some small things then your cutlets will become very tasty and crunchy. So today in this article we are telling you about some such tips-
Material:
- 4 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans – boiled)
- 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder or chaat masala
- 1/4 cup coriander (chopped)
- 2-3 tbsp cornflour or bread crumbs (to bind the mixture)
- salt as per taste
- 1 cup bread crumbs (for coating)
- 1/4 cup flour (for making butter)
- Oil (for frying)
Method:
1. Preparing the Mixture:
- In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, boiled vegetables, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala, dry mango powder and salt.
- Add chopped coriander and cornflour or bread crumbs and mix all the ingredients well so that the mixture becomes binding.
- Make small balls from the mixture and flatten them in the shape of cutlets.
2. Making Butter:
- Prepare thin butter by adding flour and a little water in a small vessel. It should neither be too thick nor thin.
3. Coating the Cutlets:
- First dip the prepared cutlets in flour butter, then wrap them well in bread crumbs so that the outer surface of the cutlets becomes crispy.
4. Fry:
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the cutlets until golden and crisp. Fry only 2-3 cutlets at a time so that they cook evenly.
5. Serving:
- Take out the crispy cutlets on tissue paper to remove excess oil. Serve them with hot green chutney or tomato sauce.
Suggestion:
- You can also add paneer or cheese to the cutlet mixture, this will improve its taste.
- If you want to make cutlets healthy, you can shallow fry them by applying a little oil in the pan.
Crispy Cutlets Serve with tea or as a snack and enjoy the taste.
