699 candidates are trying their luck in Delhi riots, AAP shows aggressive attitude

Delhi election 2025: The electoral grounds for Delhi Assembly are completely set up. Today was the last day for withdrawal of nominations, after which the election campaign is going to be in full swing from Tuesday. It has started from Monday itself. All parties are fighting with full strength in this election.

To contest the Delhi Assembly elections, 1522 forms were filled, out of which 487 forms were rejected and 999 forms were accepted. Today was the last day of withdrawal of nominations in which 36 people withdrew their names. In this way, 699 candidates are now in the electoral fray among whom there is to be a contest. Maximum 23 candidates are in New Delhi Assembly constituency. Whereas at least 5 candidates are contesting from Patel Nagar and Kasturba Nagar.

Aggressive election campaign of Aam Aadmi Party

As the voting date for Delhi Assembly elections approached, Aam Aadmi Party has started its aggressive election campaign from Monday. Party's national convenor and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has set a target of reaching all 70 assembly constituencies through small public meetings. Under this campaign, Kejriwal is going to address three small and big meetings every day.

Delhi's political mathematics

It is noteworthy that voting for all 70 seats of Delhi Assembly is to be held on 5th February, the results of which are to be declared on 8th February. Earlier, in the 2020 assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party had won 62 out of 70 seats and in the 2015 assembly elections, it had registered a bumper victory by winning 67 out of 70 seats. BJP had won only 3 seats in 2015 and only 8 seats in 2020. Congress's account was not even opened in 2020.
