RRB recruitment notification released for 32,438 level 1 posts; apply from Jan 23

New Delhi: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released the recruitment notification to fill a total of 32,438 level 1 posts under the 7th CPC pay matrix. This RRB level 1 recruitment notification is available online on the official RRB websites. Interested and eligible candidates can register for these posts from January 23. The last date to complete the application process is February 22, 2025.

The RRB Level 1 recruitment application fee is Rs 500. Candidates will get a refund of Rs 400 after appearing for the CBT. The applicable bank charges will be deducted and the refund will be made. For the Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), minority communities category candidates and female and transgender candidates the application fee is Rs 250.

As per the RRB Level 1 recruitment selection process candidates will have to undergo four stages which involve a Computer-Based Test (CBT), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification and a medical exam.

The CBT paper will include a total of 100 questions. The exam will be held for a duration of 90 minutes. As per the marking scheme for an incorrect response, 0.33 marks will be deducted. The paper will be divided into five sections which include general science, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning and general awareness and current affairs.

The minimum percentage of marks for shortlisting candidates is 40 per cent for the unreserved category candidates, 40 per cent for the EWS category candidates, 30 per cent for OBC (Non-creamy layer), 30 per cent for SC and 30 per cent for ST category candidates.
