Vegetable Idli: Try this recipe of Vegetable Idli
Rava- one and a half cup
Curd- 2 cups
Carrot – half cup (grated)
Onion- 1 (finely chopped)
Green chillies – 2-3 (finely chopped)
Beans- half cup (finely chopped)
Green peas – half cup
Turmeric powder- 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper powder- 1/4 teaspoon
Cumin- 1 teaspoon
Mustard – half teaspoon
Urad dal- 1 teaspoon
Chana dal- 1 spoon
Oil- 3-4 spoons
Salt- as per taste
Baking soda – a pinch
step 1
First of all, take out the rava in a bowl and prepare the idli batter by adding curd and water to it. Cover this batter and leave it for 15-20 minutes so that the rava can swell properly.
Step-2
Now heat about 2 spoons of oil in a pan and add chana dal, urad dal, cumin, mustard and green chillies and temper it. Then add all the vegetables mentioned and fry them.
Step-3
Then add salt, turmeric powder and black pepper powder and cook the vegetables well until they become soft.
Step-4
When the vegetables become soft, add them to the idli batter and mix. Add some water to it if needed. Then mix baking soda in it and beat it.
Step-5
Now grease the idli stand with oil and then pour the batter into it and steam it. Check whether the idli is cooked or not and then turn off the flame.
serve up
Idli is ready. You can also give it in children's tiffin. It is very healthy and tasty. This idli is also very beneficial in reducing weight.
