Jaunpur: Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is going to tie the knot with Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj. Priya's father and SP MLA from Kerakat Toofani Saroj told that his family has talked to Rinku's father in Aligarh about their marriage and both the parties are ready for it.
He said that no engagement or stoppage has taken place yet.
Three-time MP Toofani Saroj said that his daughter and Rinku met through a friend whose father is also a cricketer.
He said, “Rinku and Priya have known each other for more than a year.” Both liked each other but the consent of the family was necessary for the marriage. Both the families are ready for this marriage.
He told that the date of engagement and marriage will be decided after the Parliament session is over. The engagement will take place in Lucknow.
Rinku will play the T20 series against England from January 22, after which she will also play the IPL.
According to sources, both the families met at Rinku's house in Ozone City, Aligarh and sealed their relationship by exchanging omens and gifts.
Priya Saroj is a resident of Varanasi and has been associated with SP for a long time. She won the Lok Sabha elections last year from Machhilshahr seat in Jaunpur district.
Former Supreme Court lawyer Priya had also campaigned for her father in the 2022 assembly elections. Priya, an Arts graduate from Delhi University, took a degree in Law from Amity University, Noida.
