Ayodhya Ram Temple: The grand Ram temple built at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya celebrated the first anniversary of Pran Pratishtha. On January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and performed the consecration ceremony of this historical temple. After the Pran Pratistha ceremony held on 22 January 2024, there was a huge increase in the number of devotees and tourists in the pilgrimage city of Ayodhya. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra organized 'Pratishtha Dwadashi Mahotsav' on the occasion of this anniversary, which concluded on 11 January 2025.

Pratistha Dwadashi festival begins

A huge crowd of devotees was seen in Ayodhya from the first day of the death anniversary of Ram Lalla on 11 January. Various spiritual and cultural programs were organized in the temple premises, in which havan, chanting of mantras and bhajan-kirtan were prominent.

Organization of Agnihotra and mantra chanting

The day started with Agnihotra with mantras of Shukla Yajurveda. The ritual was conducted in two phases from 8 am to 11 am and from 2 pm to 5 pm. Apart from this, 6 lakh Shri Ram Mantras were chanted, Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa were also recited.

Mahaabhishek and auspicious darshan of Lord Ram

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra shared pictures of the Mahaabhishek of Lord Ram on the occasion of Pratistha Dwadashi. A post on X (formerly Twitter) said, "On the occasion of Pratistha Dwadashi, Maha Abhishek of the Lord was performed, followed by His Mangal Darshan."
