Patna: An extortion money of Rs 20 crore has been demanded from Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, close to Bihar's Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. A complaint has been lodged in the Secretariat police station in this matter. International notorious criminal Joginder Gyong alias Joga Don has called from a foreign number and threatened Sanjay Yadav and demanded extortion.

Sanjay Yadav, originally from Haryana, is considered very close to Tejashwi Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav had sent Sanjay Yadav to Rajya Sabha in 2024 by cutting the ticket of former Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Ashfaq Karim. Joga don has made a WhatsApp call to Sanjay Yadav and asked for extortion. Secretariat DSP-1 Anu Kumari has said that the case has been registered and a team has been formed to investigate. RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav has said regarding this matter that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and DGP have been informed about this. Along with this, a demand has been made to increase the security of Sanjay Yadav.

The gangster Joginder Gyong alias Joga Don who made the call is a resident of Gyong village in Kaithal district of Haryana. He is a notorious criminal who is most wanted internationally. He is also second in the most wanted list of Haryana Police. Joginder had shot dead a man named Jaidev during a retirement party in Panipat on December 30, 2017. After this, Kaithal Police, with the help of Interpol, issued a Red Corner Notice against him. On July 9, 2024, he was arrested in the Philippines and now preparations are underway to bring him to India. Joginder's elder brother Surendra is also a notorious don of Haryana.
